Gossip: One time in Sunday school Rev. Peter was trying to teach a lesson on how to treat others. Peter tells a story, and used the names of fictional boys "Mike' and 'Ted'. Mike is popular, Ted is unpopular. In the story, both boys go the the same school and church. Mike talks to Ted at church, but not at school. Peter then asked our Sunday school class: "What should Mike do?" If anyone here knows the Golden Rule, the correct answer is: "Mike should be nice to and talk to Ted at church and school". Since this is the Sunday school from Hell, April Waybright raises her hand and answers "well, Mike should just not talk to Ted at church so he does not have to talk to him at school". Needless to say the rest of the class was shocked! I however was not. April was the class be-otch, I expected that of her because that is how she treated people at the Bible Center Church. What I did not expect was Rev. Peter's answer. He did not reprimand her! He just said: "well...um....um....well....er..." like he was at a loss for words. I later found out that Little-Miss-Could-Do-No-Wrong April Waybright's parents gave a lot of money to the church that is why she got away with the crap that she did. This includes giving an answer like that in Sunday school and not getting called down for it. Hey Peter, what is the use of telling that story if you let April give that answer, and not correct her? Like I am so sure that is the way Jesus want us to behave? Or is that the way people were to behave at the Bible Center Church? Is it any wonder WHY I left?
