So I know a ton of you have commented on this blog and I am so so so so so sorry because I just realized that the comments have been hidden all this time! Such a bummer and a ton of you have really interesting stuff to say so thanks! And I really do apologize that it’s been a really long time that nothing has shown up!
I have fixed the problem and now there are hundreds of comments from over the months that you all have written. Things should be good to go now! As always - if you notice something acting up on GossipReport, give me a shout at tech@gossipreport.com so I can get to it ASAP.

Hey there my lovelies!
We recently added a bunch of clips, soundbites and articles from interviews I’ve done. Since I talk to people all over the country, I know not everyone can tune in live. Don’t be sad! Keep up with the media shenanigans on our press page. Or you can just hear my bea-utifullll voice anytime you miss me!
It’s always pretty fun when I get to do interviews. We’re just tryin to get people to realize that gossip CAN be fun. Obviously you guys know it - you’re always at it! But some people don’t want to hear it - so I tell them anyway!
So check it before you wreck it! Let me know what you think too. I love hearing from you!

I went to check our stats today and noticed we had thousands of hits from South Africa! So I did a little Google work and found out that Dr. Phil’s show with me on it showed in South Africa today and they were checking us out. So just think that stuff you wrote is being read by users all over the world. You are international stars. I hope they post some good South African Gossip on the site. That would be cool. I bet it’s just like ours. People are the same everywhere. If you find a user on the site from a different country, send them a message to welcome them to the site. We want the dish from all four corners of the planet on GossipReport.com.

We are constantly listening to the users and trying to come up with ways to change GossipReport.com for the better. As a result you will see some changes on the site. You will see a new universal search bar in the top right hand corner that can let you search the whole site by keywords, person or subject. you will also see that we made it easier than ever to add Gossip and G Strings in one quick step. We are also very excited about the addition of categories to GossipReport.com. You can tailor your experience to just see the kind of gossip you want. If you don’t care about who is dating whom, then you can search by sports, military, church or any of the 14 categories we have set up to help our users organize the gossip on the site.
So check out the new features and thanks for helping us make GossipReport.com and even better way to do what every body does!
It’s funny how different people use websites completely differently. I was talking to a friend and I mentioned a website where people “list” things they want to buy, sell or hire people to do. And as soon as I mentioned the name of the site my friend said, “Isn’t that a prostitution site?” I didn’t even know there was stuff like that on there, I was like, “I think you can find a job or buy a couch but I don’t think it’s a prostitution site.” The point is that site uses categories very well to let users just find what they want to see and you don’t see what you don’t want to see. We are going to introduce categories to GossipReport.com in the near future that will allow you to tailor your visit to see everything you want to see and none of what you don’t. Just another way of saying, “We hear you.”
When you let your kids play out in the yard that doesn’t mean you let them run all over town.
You enforce boundaries on your children when they play at home and we urge you to enforce those same boundaries while they are playing online. We don’t want your young children on GossipReport.com and we have and are increasing the rules and tools in place every day to keep your kids off GossipReport.com. But all our tools will count for nothing if you don’t get involved.
We can only do so much. Our goal is not to have millions of kids on GossipReport.com saying rude things about each other. We have never marketed towards high school age children and try to discourage negative or “trashy” gossip on nearly every page of the site. There is A LOT of content on our site that is not “trashy” but the LCD (lowest common denominator) is more interesting to the media. When it comes to your children we encourage your participation because lord knows GossipReport.com is not the worst site you child can stumble across on the web. If you tell them where not to go and what not to do and they don’t listen - then there are tools to watch their every move online. There are tools to block the sites they can visit. If that doesn’t work they are probably too young for a computer or too smart to stop. In an effort to help we will be creating a Parent’s Corner in the coming days dedicated to giving you the tools to keep your kids safe and out of trouble online.
The tools fall into at least five categories:
1. Suggested guidelines to impose on your children’s online activity.
2. Software available to monitor your children’s online activity.
3. Software to block sites you don’t want your children visiting.
4. Articles to read about gossip – “when it’s good and when it’s bad.”
5. Tools we have in place to keep kids out and the level of the conversation up.
Our site has a registration page that requires users to be 16 to join the site and they are required to certify that a person is at least 16 before they post anything about that person. We also allow any piece of gossip to be brought to our attention through an alert system that is checked very regularly. Our terms of use, that users must agree to before they join the site, are very specific to what is not allowed on our site and we enforce these terms.
Gossip online is just a reflection of what we do offline. To think that it will someday go away is not realistic. Today there are a thousand gossip websites and tomorrow there will be a thousand more – but this one, GossipReport.com, will be working hard every day to keep kids out and the quality of gossip up. I hope everyone knows that we love our GossipReport.com members and visitors and want everyone to have fun using the site. However, we have to remind everyone that if you are not 16 you are not supposed to be a member on our site and you cannot post any Gossip about anyone under the age of 16. When you click that little box that says “I certify this person is at least 16…” you need to tell the truth. We don’t want stuff on here about kids under 16; especially dirty stuff. It’s gross and illegal. People can get into trouble for posting things about people that is considered libel and slanderous (that means untrue and damaging) and with so much stuff out there that’s true, just stick to that. People want to hear how sick the parties are you go to and what crazy stuff happens in the dorms (yes, this site is intended for College Students), save the high school drama fo yo mama. If you are in high school, take us with you to college in the fall. It gets a lot more fun there. Peace.

In the immortal words of 70’s news anchor extraordinaire, Ron Burgandy (Will Farrell), signed off each night reminding everyone to “Stay Classy.” At GossipReport.com we encourage our users to follow Ron’s advice. Keep the posts funny and interesting but make sure they are true as well as truly gossip. We are not backing off the fact that we believe gossip can serve a good purpose in the community above and beyond just entertainment. We know that before most stories make the news, they are just whispers and gossip. There were probably all kinds of whispers going around about former New York Governor, Elliot Spitzer before he got busted for spending thousands of dollars cheating on his wife with prostitutes and eventually that led to him admitting what he was doing. While some would say, “That’s nobody’s business,” most people would say, “He shouldn’t have been doing it in the first place.” But the most important things about the whispers in his case is that they were true.
GossipReport.com is a public forum so before you write something for everyone to see you should make sure its true and above all.. . Stay Classy.
There has been a lot of heat surrounding another gossip site that claims to have “juicy” gossip for college campuses. We here at GossipReport.com want to assure you that we are not like that “other” site. We urge our users to keep the gossip posted on GossipReport.com fun, interesting, funny and juicy… but not trashy. We also hope you will use the tools in place to rate gossip. If its funny, mark it so and rate it neutral or nice. Likewise if its trashy, click the trash can icon and rate it low. If enough people rate gossip as trashy then our system will automatically delete the thread. We want our users to have a good time and dish the good stuff but we don’t want people getting unnecessarily trashed. Help keep it fun and if you see a post or the chatter going south speak up in the chatterbox and tell other users what real gossip is.
